paul: Always remember that when testing the TV out on different connections to carry to out a strength /
in each location using the same every time, noting the levels indicated, as the figures obtained can be used for reference when judging the results of any modifications you might make to the aerial or cabling to.

Hoping you can with this one. I live in a flat in Slough and up until Monday 5th March I was using the and receiving full service of (including HD ). However my property management company decided to the align towards . Great, I would finally get as Slough is in this region. Unfortunately now I can only up twenty Freeview channels and the region appears still to be Meridian (so still picking up rather weak from Hannington perhaps?) Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? Or will I just have to wait for 4th April / 18th April for at Crystal Palace?

Andrew Tegala: You could possibly have a comprise between both stations, try scrubbing what's already stored on your TV or box by carrying out a factory re-set (maybe called default setting) then carry out a "manual" tune on Crystal Palaces BBC1 on Mux Ch25, storing anything received (if that is) then carry out a second manual tune this time on CP's ITV Mux Ch22, backing out of the tuning menu after having carried out both actions and testing the result on both.

If this procedure proved as being satisfactory, then you can recover the remaining muxes by using your equipments "search for other " or "update " or whatever it might be called on what you are using.

If though nothing is received by the manual tuning exercise then there isnt anything you can do to rectify this situation, this by the fact of the system being outwith your control.

Andrew Tegala: Regarding the latter part of my reply, that is although nothing can be done about the situation regarding the its definitely worth making another attempt using the procedure described from April 18th when has fully switched to high powered operation.

Should you decide to try this, then from that date the used will be: Ch23 (BBC1) - Ch26 (ITV1) - Ch30 (HD service) - Ch25 (SDN) - Ch22 (ArqA) - Ch28 (ArqB)

Thanks for your jb38! I will try a manual tune tonight. I have a Humax HDR Fox-T2 and there is a good resource on how to retune this PVR manually to up .

Andrew Tegala: Just a little point regarding that particular box, rather than carrying out the factory default procedure which would make it necessary for you to restore all your previously made configuration settings, just take out an carry out a re-tune without it as that action will in most cases delete the memory, then carry out the aforementioned manual after re-connecting the aerial.

If though for any reason you are forced to carry out the factory default to completely eliminate the , then double check that the "format HDD" box is NOT checked or it will delete anything you have previously recorded.

Please.I have now had 2 independent /t.v. engineers and also under the government scheme ' help scheme' visit me here at my home, with regards to the digital switch over at .The government help scheme pro
vided a new aerial in my .To cut a long story, I have 4 'in built digital t.v.s' 3 are new at Christmas and are flat screen and the fourth is 5 years old of the larger model type.
Everyone has checked the aerial /coax and splitter box in the loft, if anything the signal was too strong, this was 'dampend'to try to resolve my problem, which is bizzarely! one side of my house recieves t.v. from the (and any t.v.s installed on that side of the house work fine)any t.v.s installed on the other side of the house recieve from Hannington, and do not work at all(pixeled or no transmittion)Please anyone any ideas? At the moment we are all living one side of the house if we want to watch t.v.!

Have you retuned your TV today? I'm assuming that you receive from rather than . Rowridge started today, and therefore BBC digital have moved and therefore a retune is required. A further retune will be required on 28th March when all other channels move.
