Henley-on-thames
Please can you help me. I am trying to get DAB radio signal for recently purchased DAB hi-fi radio receiver. I have installed a FM half-wave dipole aerial on the roof but my receiver shows "no service." However I am getting a strong FM reception.
We are located above Henley at Rotherfield Greys at a height of 450ft AMSL.
Postcode: RG9 5LG.
Kind regards,
Brian

Henley-on-thames
Hi, as of 18th April 2012 Henley-on-Thames received digital, I have re-tuned my TV and now receive as shown above channels under BBCA, BBCB, and D3+4. My question is will Henley receive freeview channels such as ITV3, ITV4, etc at a future date ?

Martin Curtis: The Henley relay transmitter is never likely to broadcast them. However, if you are in a location where you can receive from Crystal Palace, then you will probably be able to get the Commercial channels. The Digital UK Tradeview predictor suggests that this may be possible, although an exact answer can only be determined by an installer testing the signal strengths whilst on site.

Re: Freeview Lite: No ITV3 etc. Yes, I have also understood Lite will not carry these (from H-O-T mast), but Crystal Palace works from central Henley if you have a clear view SE ish. Band A Horiz aerial (beware - not same as for H-O-T mast). The signal is much better than pre-switchover and quite reliable. You may need a masthead amp or other booster as it's not strong, although seems pretty clean and stable. Frequent dropouts before due to local noise (fridges etc.), virtually none now. Bigger the aerial the better for noise immunity. If you don't get all channels with auto tune, may be 'cos of weak signal - explore using manual tuning.

I live in Henley-on-Thames the Reading Road area
I cannot get many of the Freeview channels on my TV only about ten. There is not a problem with the TV as it is only about 1year old. Are there any problems with the switchover at the local TV mast at White Hill. My partner lives in Henley also but has his aerial tuned into Crystal Palace and is able to get the full range of Freeview channels.
