Which companies have run the Channel 3 services in the Knock More transmitter area
P Mackintosh: Firstly, this is an independent technical help website which is not connected with either Freeview, or any broadcaster or transmitter company, so nobody posting here can do anything about any transmitter fault and it is extremely unlikely that anyone from Freeview will see your message here. The BBC's reception advice pages report no faults for Knockmore and neither I nor any other volunteer contributors have access to any other information.
If you provide a full postcode we can check what signal strengths are predicted to be like at your location and may be able to offer further advice. It's worth checking for simple faults such as any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV which can make the situation worse but are easily fixed.

As advised in the post before yours, the transmitter is the subject of Planned Engineering and has been listed as such for a while now.
If you live in a weak signal area then the effects of the work may lead to no signal at times and if you retuned when you had no signal, it will have just cleared your correct tuning, and you'll have to retune again to see if you now have signal. If you haven't retuned at all - DON'T.
