Matlock

At present I (and many others in the Cromford area)cannot receive the analogue C5 signal, nor Freeview, through a standard analogue aerial. Will the Freeview signal be boosted after the analogue switch off in this area in order that Freeview can be received, in which case I only need purchase a Freeview box? Or will it be necessary to erect a satellite dish anbd get a freesat box?

Malcolm Molloy: according to the site you will get the freeview light service after aug 31, all mainstrem bbc's itv's ch4's and ch5 will be on that service. you will get more choice thru a satellite service but that depends on what you want to watch mate

will we actually be able to receive digital transmission, We live on holt road upper hackney with woods to two sides of us,it depends which transmitter you are using also do we need a new aerial??

Go to Teletext page 284 on BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4.
If the page displays properly, your aerial should be OK to receive digital TV.
If not there is always the option to go Freesat.

nicky freeling: hey we live on dimple road just down from you really, yes you should be able to , we have brought the freesat box which is about £20 and that works perfectly on digital we just have to reboot the box again.. if you need any help if u pop down to 36 dimple road and ask for rose then i would be happy to help for free. i have done a few already
