Still having reception problems today on the ITV band. A retune brings all the channels back but it doesn't last. Am informed that this is nothing to do with 4G as there is no operational mast in the area at present. No reports of problems or engineering work at the Oxford mast so WHAT is the problem when reception is normally perfect? Bring back good old reliable analogue!! Worked in all weathers and conditions.

SN3 4NR (rooftop aerial).

Yet again the reception has gone on certain channels, now with just a little bit of rain. I thought somebody would bother to answer these queries but it looks as if they just don't care anymore.

Stevie D: Are you sure that your receiver is in fact tuned to the correct frequencies for the Oxford transmitter? If the aerial is pointing to Beckley

Stevie D: If the aerial is pointing to Beckley the signals from Mendip are arriving from directly behind the aerial. As Mendip frequencies are found before the corresponding Oxford frequencies on the SD muxes, when scanning for channels, it is quite possible that some of them could have been stored in error. This could make viewing the affected services less reliable when slight changes occur to the weather causing the signal strength to drop below the threshold required for stable reception. .

Hi All,
Hope you can help me, i have been having issues with freeview now since before xmas. Before this time everything was fine and i had 112 channels. Now i am down to 51, i have tried to re-position the Ariel in the loft but ended up going back to the same location as i got even less channels.
I do not understand what has changed, i did get the channels back up to 82 yesterday but it seems that only the bbc channels and some others like dave are ok, ITV and others are really bad and blocky or have disappeared (like quest etc on the COM 4). I am now back to 51 today. I do not understand this as my daughter can get all the channels like i used to be able to with her set top Ariel.

Please Help
Robert Mitchell, from kidlington Oxford

Rob Mitchell: Could you check which transmitter your using? You should be getting BBC's Central News, since the Oxford transmitter is only 8km away!

If you look at the Digital UK tradeview link, you can what might be happening. When a box tunes itself, it will often start with the lowest RF frequency, and then go up from there. Sandy Heath is on channel 27, and Hannington is on 45. Niether of these are very good for you. Oxford is on 53. Try manual tuning, and hopefully you should get Oxford and all your channels.

Dear All,
Still having issues with this, the channel signal for the bbc channels is good and i have no issues with them, but the ITV channels have high signal strength and is blocky at times and the sound dips out. From Com 3 all my channels are gone, I would really like to get these back and sort out the interference.
Any help would be very welcome.
