Aaron : Because your expectation is too great.

The Strabane transmitter broadcasts all Public Service channels, as do all other 1,000+ transmitters.

The Licence Fee goes to the BBC and, as a Public Service Broadcaster, you have the BBC.

The Commercial channels broadcast where they wish to invest in the kit to do so. They have no obligation to provide a service, only turn a profit, which is why they don't bother with the transmitters that will give them relatively few viewers.

I covered this above in my posting of Wednesday 16 January 2013 1:05PM..........

Although above it says there is no reported problem on the Strabane Mast, Since the Lightening on Thurs afternoon 7th Nov, myself and my neighbour are having viewing problems - loss of signal on all channels expect RTE which we receive from Raphoe. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
