Hi I'm not IT minded, but I have just noticed ITV1 has flashing coloured blocks on the screen. Tried the other ITV channels and all is fine there. I also did Freeview ditigal re-tune, but the problem remains. The other TVs in the house are also experiencing the same problem. Wondering if there are any engineering works or what is going on. Thanks

Hi I just wondered if anyone else has experienced a dramatic loss in signal for the mux that carries the ITV, channel 4 group of channels since being instructed to retune by an on screen message? My signal strength has dropped right down to about 17% and all of the channels in that mux are now blockign and glitching and totally unwatchable.

I don't use the Whitehawk transmitter as a main feed. But I can get weak signals from C48 (WhitehawK), but I get nothing from Chans: 56,57,51,53,60 (Whitehawk).

If I get a weak signal from one, shouldn't I get weak from all?

Can someone explain

I'm in Hove and most evenings from about 5pm to mid evening all the BBC channels (except BBC1 South East) break up and even disappear. All other channels strong and perfect. I'm constantly retuning Freeview. Doesn't anyone else experience this?

Steve: If BBC1 SE is giving reliable reception but the other BBC channels are poor it shows that you are receiving signals from two or more transmitters, your receiver decides to store the first option found rather than the best quality signal for those channels that have identical content from the available transmitters. If your aerial is pointing to Whitehawk Hill clear the channel list, then do a manual tune for each of the Whitehawk frequencies C60-_, C53, C57, C56, C48 and C51(HD)if required. If manual tuning is not possible commence the channel scan with the aerial unplugged, missing out the weaker signals on the lower frequencies, then plug it in before C48 to store all the Whitehawk Hill frequencies.

Hi, we seem to be having similar problems to Steve here in Brighton BN1 5 area.

ITV and the other channels which seem to be on the other mux'es are fine, but BBC1 & 2 are all but unwatchable most of the time.

Checking the DVB signal level, quality is very low although strength is high as we have a high gain antenna and mast head amp

At first I thought it was out of alignment although we're practically on top of the mast and as I said, ITV etc are fine.

Is there anything I can do to sort it out or am I stuck with ITV? ;-)

Thanks

George

N.B. I've confirmed that the signal we're getting is on channel 60 so it's not from the wrong transmitter :-(

George: If you are "practically on top of the mast" then WHY ON EARTH have you got a high gain aerial and a mast head amplifier???!!!!

Surely you would not need any let alone one!!
