I have lost all HD channels on my Humax BT Youview Box and my HD Panasonic TV. I have completed the reset procedure and retuned several times with no luck. I live in Sale, Cheshire M33. Is this a Winter Hill issue?

N Kelly: Winter Hill is showing a possible weak signal, but what that means, relatively speaking, is impossible to say without knowing your location.
However, check your signal strength. Your TV and PVR have senstive tuners, and if you have a problem with your aerial system, HD muxes are vanishing. It could be that you were just about OK, until the weak signal from the transmitter compounded the problem. Start with the aerial lead into the first device, just to make sure its not duff.

I live not far from you and can confirm that all 10 multiplexes are working normally. Winter Hill serves over 7 million people, if there was a problem this and the website Digital Spy would be inundated with complaints.

Peter Jones:
For anyone contributing to this website to have any chance to assist, you need to give an idea of where you live by giving a post code or that of a nearby public building, shop, post office, etc. From that information, we could look up which transmitter is best for you and to see if there are any engineering works, technical issues or localised recep[tion problems.

Hi. Brilliant site.
Do you have any idea how long the works at Winterhill are likely to go on for? We live in the south of Cumbria and have always had a good and reliable signal.....until the last month or so. It's now basically unwatchable. Our aerial is in the attic but it's the top of a three storey Georgian house with direct line of sight to winter hill. I've just been and checked it's alingment and all the connections from there to our Humax box. All seems fine. I've also unplugged other nearby electrical items.
Any suggestions?
Robert.
