sandy heath com5/c36 seems particular pixelated unwatchable 13/08/23.(12th too)

are there no details on what specific engineering work is happening on Sandy Heath (per previous post) or how long this will last.

Atmosphere problems can obviously impact reception too, so detailed information would help customers identify cause.

just seems unprofessional not to provide/link details

Steve D,
yes I'd seen the other site, and the sheer number of transmitters being maintained,
suggested either there is a common summer/outdoor maintenance aspect, or, that a shared backbone link between transmitters - microwave ? fibre-optic ? is being worked on.

( guess that the companies paying for advertising on the impacted channels get reduced rates if no one can watch them. )

Thanks

Paul

Agree with earlier comments - Ely/Cambs C21+, C27 so, ITV&Three for example,
have been dropping out for 10 minute periods 7/8th Oct after ~9pm.

Switching to freeview play devices, with channels streamed via internet seems only option.

Like others, in Cambs Ely region/CB6, HD multiplexes have been unwatchable evening of today/26th.

Seem to be no SandyHeath maintenance mentioned on the map at https://ukfree.tv/extras/…ing.

If there were a new 5G inteference problem would this be so intermittent ?
(I've not yet looked for a site that lists new local mobile masts/transmitters)

4g mast locations seem to be shown at
https://www.cellmapper.net/map
but, for Cambridgeshire, does not show which of them may have also had 5G services turned on

I don't know if HD is working again this am/27th
[Data on Sandy Heath seems inconsistant the map had not listed Sandy Heath as having issues

I'm incredulous Sandy Heath do not provide more detail on when (day+time)services will be impacted, so that customers can rule out other causes (like 5g) if they have issues.
Their weekly pixelation+flickering messages have been running for months.

I had already checked the restoretv link post-code checker and had no messages about 5g

Radio and Television Investigation Service site actually shows a specific fault on sandy heath
Check for transmitter faults | RTIS

"

"
I wasn't aware of this site before

I concur with Giovanni, SDN was bad last week and this evening 8th - film4+1 /ARQA is unwatchable/breaking up at 23:00.

CB7 4QN proximity.

I guess the 8th engineering notice is the excuse; problems seem interminable

Arqa continues to be bad/unwatchable, post 10pm or so, and, noting quality/strength from a Panasonic tv, for the muxes (in order listed above) observed

bbc1 10/9
itv 10/9
bbc1 hd 10/9
drama 10/8 < sdn
sky mix 7/8 < arqa
quest 10/8

since the issue discretely occurs comparatively late at night, seems unlikely it is any mobile interference, and rather that that arqa mux has reduced power, for some reason.

If they published more details on specific impact expected from engineering, customers could immediately see if their experience is correlated.

I haven't tried to tune c35 yet
