Mark, I don't think this is the reason for our problem. We do use a hard drive to record channels on but have used it successfully for several years, and it makes no difference whether it is on or not. Also we only lose the signal in the evenings, and only in the last 1-2 months. If we need a wideband aerial surely it would be a problem all the time?

Hi, I live in WA15 0JP & get freeview from Winter Hill tranmsitter through an outside roof aerial. We started having problems receiving all TV channels on RF59 (ITV, Ch4, Ch5 etc) a few weeks ago, with the picture breaking up and occassionally losing the signal all together. This is now a regular occurence almost every evening! Signal strength tonight is only 20%. All other channels are fine. Please advise what is happening and what we can do about it? Many thanks.
