Jon Norris: jb38 & Briantist. Sorry for delay and thank you for your help. TV is Samsung LE 40 N 87 BD. it was bought as HD ready. Of course, like a nonce, my freeview box is probably not HD! I thought it just passed signals through to the TV but maybe it needs to be HD capable too.

Jb38: called a Sagem HDMI and I am using an HDMI cable. It does often need rebooting nowadays so may have to replace anyway if I can work out which is best

I am at HR2 8HZ with aerial pointing to clearly visible Ridge Hill mast. Reception fine. But no HD. The channels (ie 103) don't even list. What am I missing (apart from a marble or two)?
