You are a little weak for a loft. I assume a roof ae is difficult?

I think an amplifier might do the trick. But is your 8-way splitter not powered? 8-way is a lot for passive splitting.

Presumably you got good pics on analogue?

Did you try digital before switchover?

So long as your 8-way is working that should be enough amplification. Are you sure it is powered and working?

Does your meter see a stronger signal with it in use than by-passed?

MO'P - Just as a lookout scans the horizon for ships, your tuner scans the range of frequencies for ones that are sending a signal it can intrepret.

Nigel - are you trying an actual TV as well as the meter for the different conditions?

Do you still have your old box that worked?

Have you comparesd experience with locals?

MO'P - Multiple aerials may well cause troubles with multi signals.

Can you try one by one and see what works?

Your strongest signals seem to be on higher channels than waek ones, which may get installed first

jb38 - wolfbane says 37m not 27 and only 47dBuV/m - but agree worth checking

According to

UK digital TV reception predictor

You may have multi-path trouble.

* - where the field strength is asterisked, there is a possibility of multipath reception effects. It might be worth trying again with a greater antenna height.

and it looks like you might do better with Nottingham

Nigel I am no expert but IIUC the various elements of your aerial are intended to work as pairs at different frequencies, so unless you know what you are doing just removing some is unlikely to get results.

There is a lot to be said for paying a LOCAL installer for his local knowledge.

Sharon have you got a satellite dish outside with a lead from it plugged into the box?
