Dee G - you may find expat sites more informend than here.

David W - it may be that the signals are too STRONG. Try removing any amplification, or adding an attenuator.

Have you asked the neighbours?

It is unfortunate for both the people of Blackpool and the Ladies and Gentlemen of Lytham St Annes that radio signals propagate well over water and less well over the mountains of Leyland and the Longton hills.

But an aerial pointed at Winter Hill a bit S of E tather the MyP a bit W of S should keep you on trach so long as it is well directional.

Either way, your Freeview Tuner probably has picked up theproper Lancastrial channels and put them in the "Duplicates" section - usually 900s but can vary. Use "Channel Arrangement" to switch what yoiu want to 1 2 3 4

Lionel - splitters etc. can be powered from your TV/box through the coax cable used for the signal - indeed "DC Pass" confirms that the port indicated either needs this DC power, or is set up to pass it onwards.

If ypou google its brand and model number you should find out. Meanwhile, what if any change when you disconnect that section?

Hi Rick - looks like you got overlooked!

If your problem is not aerial/wiring it is either equipment or interference.

You have a decent but not overstrong siognal. Is it amplified at all? If so try removing it. How do you know youe ae is correctly pointed?

Have neighbours had similar experience?

Have you tried a different Freeview tuner/TV ?

Or your TV elsewhere?

JH If your problem affects others locally you may havew a local issue. Have any of you asked a local aerial installer?

If no progress there, you need these people.

JB38 - You may not know the geography. Linda lives yards from the sea, at sea level, on the northern curve of the Ribble Estuary. She has direct line of sight over the sea to Meol y Parc, but terrain and buildings towards Winter Hill.

Linda where does your aerial point? Is it same as others?

One thought. Does your tuner know your location/TV Region? Is there an option to choose? Have you RT.M ?

Maggie do you have the instructions? If not, google for and download them. Then read across from English to German.

One of the setup options is probably language play from the MENU button. "Sprache" is German for Language.

Was it German bought?

jb38 - my guess is that the prediction sites make no allowance for better propagation over water rather than land. You can SEE Snowdon from Lytham. Doubt if you can see Winter Hill!

D Matthews - how have you had your new aerial set up? If by a professional it should work.

If d-i-y - are you adequately skilled and equipped? I doubt it.

If you post your postcode we can perhaps help.
