At present I receive Freeview digitalchannels, apart from the occasional loss of signal especially on channel 5. My postcode is TN34 1LY and I have line of sight of the transmitteraerial but would like clarification of whether I will be able to receive Freeview HD transmissions after the switchover in 2012. I have spoken with local TV retailers and one or two aerial engineers but opinions vary from probably to absolutely not because the Hastings transmitter has too narrow a bandwidth. It has also been suggested to me that the proximity of the south coast to France would prohibit it as it would cause interference for our our european neighbours. Can you please give me a definitive answer on this issue?
