Ed: As a classical music lover, the best picture and audio have been on Freeview not Sky! However the scheduling of Proms on TV has been utterly chaotic over the last 3 years. HD with DD 5.1 has been rare but superb when it did happen eg Choral symphony, Barenboim (midnight broadcast many days after concert 2012). whom should I email my views? BBC 4 has been the choice for most proms on TV. Surely the audio is the priority. It remains to be seen whether BBC 4 HD on Freeview will arrive in our area by the proms season and if so, will it carry DD 5.1 audio. Would be a treat to have some really live proms on TV other than "the last night".

I have a separately fitted JVC DAB car radio with its own antenna. Over several years and cars, the reception on BBC programmes I can only describe as flawless. I ama HiFi enthusiast and there has been no audible distortion or noise. Obviously in limping tunnels the signal is lost.

I understand that DAB is resistant to multipath, indeed it improves reception as the receiver delays and adds signal to better retrieve weak signals. My comments refer mainly to England with some experience up to central Scotland.
