i live in ky15 postcode area and we are getting itv1+1 with the retune on tuesday 11th jan
will we ever get itv3 and itv4 and quest and yesterday channels in future retunes?
our signal comes through a relay transmitter and apparently these channels cant be put through a relay transmitter which seems unfair when other users can get these channels from the tay bridge transmitter depending where in cupar they are/position of ariel

are itv3 and itv 4 and any other channels on the same frequency as itv1+1 when the retune takes place on jan11 or will it just be itv1+1 that will tune in at the retune?

Tay Bridge (Fife, Scotland) Freeview Light transmitter

i keep losing the subtitles on my asda freeview box and have to retune it to get the subtitles back also why does it say highlands and islands against the channel names when the signal i get is from a relay transmitter which gets its signal from taybridge transmitter
am rather puzzled why it says highlands and islands as this would indicate that the signal is coming from further north than dundee angus transmitter

a neighbour gave me a sky box which he had spare and will have to get a dish for it
will be using it for freeview only so do i need a card for the card slot to view freeview?
also can i get other itv regions via freeview or am i locked by my postcode to stv north?

Ive just been given a sky reciever box by my neighbour and by luck more than anything else found someone locally on gumtree website giving away a brand new sky dish with four connection lnb arm
i know i have to pay sky £25 for a card to see c4+ e4 more 4 is it possible to keep my freeview box in line along with the sky box thereby saving me having to buy a £25 card immediately or do i have no option but to buy one
set up at present is freeview box dvd player and vcr will i have to buy a scart box with the extra sockets and two more scart leads? the tv only has two scart sockets on it vcr has two scart sockets as does the freeview box
also can i tune in extra itv regions so am not stuck with stv north as they dont show tv programmes other regions show due to refusing to pay itv for these programmes a classic example being the most recent miss marple episodes with julia mckenzie as miss marple

i got a pace 2200 sky box off my neighbour and managed to get a brand new sky dish with quad lnb
ive tried a self install using a borrowed sat finder but dont seem to be getting a signal
my neighbour recently upgraded to multiroom and a new box was installed in the living room and then box from the living room was installed in his extension the box he gave me was originally in the living room before it was upgraded with a new box
could it be that the pace box needs connected to his dish and rebooted so that it works if its been unplugged for a while?
also because the dish is new does the lnb need booted or installed or anything
the finder is showing a strong signal(mounted on a ground pole) but the receiver says no signal found and the signal level is only about 1/4 and locked is blank
what am i doing wrong? or will i have to admit defeat and call in an installer to set the dish ive got coax and f plugs and everything except for a blasted signal!

just had a new channel added to freeview today and i live in cupar with a relay transmitter
and the new channel is FILM 4 a channel previously not available through the relay transmitter
is this a mistake or is cupar getting more freeview channels?
annoying thing is the epg says no information for film4 despite rebooting the freeview box 3 times including removing the ariel to completely wipe its memory then rebooting after putting the ariel back in its still the same

The reason i found out i had film4 was a popup on the screen saying a new channel had been added so i checked the epg and film 4 was listed but said no information available i then rebooted the freeview box but the epg then showed other channels had no information either
ive found if you unplug the ariel then reboot to clear the memory then reboot again with the ariel plugged in that it resets the epg why the epg responds like that when the box is rebooted is puzzling
sometimes putting the box on standby for five minutes helps also dont forget to check the autostandby setting as it defaults to 4 hours when its rebooted but this can be deleted so its doesnt switch the box off
doesnt look like cupar will get film4+1 though but can always use tvcatchup which has all the freeview channels that cupar cant get

forgot to add is it because of 4g that film 4 has moved to a different multiplex? also will 4g affect the relay transmitter in cupar and if so will i get one of the free filters trouble is i have two boxes in use one in the living room one in the bedroom but they only give you one filter which isnt exactly fair considering they (the mobile companies) are causing this problem that users have to pay in the region of up to £20 for a filter
will the bedroom box still work seeing as how the signal comes off the same ariel even with one filter fitted?
