Ok but what if i just reconnect the cable that i cut by plugging then into each other thus re connecting the box ducky to the fish? I did this just using normal analog co axial f connectors. Still no signal.

Basically it has 4 wires coming out. So 2 go to a sky plus box, then one goes to a box in each bedroom. I hacked one of those and split it. Now when i put it back together with male and femalenormal Ariel connectors from maplins no worky!

So to get this right,i just snipped a cable at the dish coming from the box in front of the dish. I then out make rf connectors and used a splitter to split the signal to another box.now, even when i plug the male straight back into the female, the box doesn't work. I just don't underhand this as its surely just a Co axial signal!
Please help!
