Hi, I'm having problems with the signal on my + HD box (old Grundig box upstairs is working fine). Get message saying being received. All fine for a while after the box is switched off and disconnected. then starts to break up and signal strength and for one or both inputs goes to zero. Some channels such as Sky Sports seem to work fine most of the time and if I don't change from them don't have a problem. Others such as BBC or BT Sport break up quickly. When working fine signal strength for Input 1 is 100% with signal quality slightly lower. For Input 2 Signal strength and quality are the same at just under100%, however this plummets when channels are changed. I tried switching the input cables and this worked for a short while but again on some channels input strength and quality dropped. Contacted sky and nothing they suggested helped. I booked an engineer visit but cancelled this after things seemed to improve. I'm reluctant to pay for a visit if I can sort the issue myself and would be grateful for any advice! Thanks

Hi jb38. Initially swapping the inputs worked perfectly, although on some (particularly "" channels though a few others too) there was some break up of . For a day or so there were no problems. Now however I have some channels working perfectly - all channels and many others- and some were there is at all, ie 'terrestrials' and a few others. On the channels with no signal, the input 1 strength and is zero, lock indicator is 'not locked' and ID/transport steam is 'Null'. Input 2 is fine. On channels with no issue all input readings appear fine. Grateful again for any advice

Thanks again for your reply. Problems seem to have mainly resolved. Occasionally some do not come on immediately when the box comes out of standby,but this usually resolves quickly. I have a nagging feeling there is a fault somewhere so if things go wrong again I will follow your advice. Thanks
