UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

I live within easy walking distance of the Blackpool Warbreck transmitter and for years have enjoyed listening to Capital Manchester on my DAB radios (one upstairs and one down). However for the past week or so both of my radios cannot tune into Capital, they say that the station is unavailable. As it is happening to both radios (of different brands) I thought that it could not be the radios at fault. Is there a problem with the transmitter or the station itself?

Brenda Crossley: No. The North West multiplex closed because the licence came to the end of its term and the operator didn't wish to renew.
