Why do we get transmitter info AFTER the events??

Would it be too much to ask to get advance warning of work or expected problem.

I am fed up with loosing signal over various digital programmes despite having all my receiving system upgraded .. if this is DVB then we need to keep the analogue setup.

I did the retune this morning at 9 and all went well. I returned home this evening and everything was sitll OK. However, I watched CH80 (BBC News) at 10 then turned over to CH1 at 1030 and all went blank. Then all that would show was the analogue. I tried a retune and was left with absolutely nothing other than analogue. This is totally unacceptable!!!!!!

After y'days fiasco, I retuned again this morning and got everything just fine, but at 16:30 every station within MUX-C went off air. Any ideas as to why this occured.

I notice that from the above chart, some MUX's are still on very low power, so when will this increase to the full 200KW??

The whole of MUX-C has gone walkabout again. Everything else is fine but C is non existent and has been all day.

Its the old Mux C (now ArqA) I'm bothered about. It has always been poor but now its gone all together now switchover has taken place! I have the correct group A 18 element aerial and it was only installed less than a year ago at considerable expence as we had to have all the cable and box replaced too.
Everything else is fine but that Mux C is now non existent... so much for progress!!

I too have a missing Mux and I think we'll have to wait until the 18th when the final shift around takes place and the planned power increase takes affect.

Vertical polarisation has its problems too!
Bear in mind that a vertically polarised aerial will be more susceptible to picking up off beam transmissions (the main cause of co-channel interference) because to a certain extent, to those broadcasts from the side the antenna is effectively an efficient vertical dipole.

My problems are with all programmes withing COM5 (C22) too, just like Denzil Dexter. I have tried everything and all I get is pixelation and drop-outs since the retune on the 18th. I used to enjoy watching Sky News but now it is impossible. All the other muxes are fine, its just COM5.

I lost all Freeview channels last night towards 23:00hrs but they are back this morning. I have a new aerial vertically aligned at Rowirdge. Did the transmitter fail??
We had excellent analogue reception in Selsey before we opted for a Freeview DVB TV set and the new aerial, but have experienced digital reception problems ever since.
If this is progress they can keep it!! We pay our licence fee in advance and expect good reception every day.
