RobP - The gaudy stuff at top of page confirms C24 as the "mux" giving you trouble, and if as you say others having the same best guess is that it is interference due to all the hot weather.

Suggest you talk to a local ae man.

If you are using an ampifier, try without it.

Robert what if anything are you using as an aerial? Digital can be TOO strong, and as you are at the bottom of the tower that may well be the problem.

Try nothing at all or just a fly lead in the ae socket.

How's the Sweet Lass?

Robert - IIUC you are about 100 yards from the TX ?

That close, with that much power, all sorts of things could be happenning. I suggest you contact whoever runs XPal and ask them to check it out!

<< Optimised for the reception of UHF modulated waves used for digital TV would be a better description. Although I dont know enough to be sure such optimisation is possible >>

Can't see how it could be.

Incidentally your indoor HD Ae might be powered by the TV up the coax. But more likely they use amp for gain.

To put jb38's comment in context, in Herne Hill - 2-3 miles away - I get GOOD reception with just a fly lead, and usable with nothing at all - as we did for analogue.

Rob have you tried nothing?

Lisa the electric waves can wave either up and down (Horizontal - rods on aerial stick out sideways) or left and right (Vertical- rods up and down)

As to the booster, if it is plugged in to the aerial and box what happens when you switch its power supply on/off?

PS 3 aerials on a pole may have been good for analogue but may not be for digital.

Need your postcode to help more.

Paying a local man to sort it out might be best.

Its a Wharfdale something. Seems to work OK; then shuts down. I have unplugged the HD and still same.

I give up on your problem, which I presume is related to proximity. Did you try nothing at all in the aerial input? Or just a fly lead?
