Freeview reception at OL1 2UE

For reliable and stable Freeview reception, you need an unobstructed path between the TV aerial on your roof and the digital TV transmitter. The map below shows the transmitters predicted to provide a signal at this location.

You can click on any transmitter symbol to show the coverage area as a green overlay on the map. Double click on a transmitter symbol to go to the transmitter information page.

You can also view the ten closest potential '4G-at-800' mobile phone masts within 1.5km of the selected location - these masts may be used for 4G-at-800 mobile broadband services from 2013-2015.

Hi there, no new devices but I turned them off anyway and re-scanned. But still nothing on that single multiplex.

Regards,

Steve

Hello I can report further. The multiplex I am missing is channel 45 666Mhz. There is some very low level signal quality and strength flashing in and out. It suggests to me that this is a transmitter on reduced power for this multiplex only on channel 45. There are no new devices just an old VCR which I turned off an on scanning and got the same result. All other channels are fine. Regards, Steve

Does anyone know whether there are any plans to upgrade the Hope Valley (Derbyshire) freeview light to full freeview? I've moved house and only have freeview light instead of all the channels I used to get. Does anyone know anything? Will it always be like this? I miss Pick TV, Dave, CBS reality ect, ect.

I have discovered a satellite dish tucked away on the side of the house , which explains the wires in the living room , honestly I just had not noticed it ! Would I be able to pick up freesat on this and what do you need to get it , I presume some box would be required like a digibox . Is a Sky dish the same or do you need a different dish for Freesat ? Would a Sky dish and a Freesat dish be aligned the same?

Thanks for any help

Further to Paul's comment about poor signal in Altrincham yesterday: I live in high rise in Old Trafford with communal aerial and ITV3 has disappeared. No previous problems and all other channels on retune seem OK.

Colin Campbell: The answer to your questions should be YES! Obviously you need to check that the dish is aligned properly, then it should work. Check your TV, it might have a screw fitting on the back - its called a F fitting - which would be for a sat. tuner. If you've got a tuner already, then you can see if it works. You can get a Freesat receiver from about £50, and a Humax PVR is about £204. To use a twin tuner PVR, you'll need at least two cables.

Have a look at the Freesat section on this website, and the Satcure website will give loads of information.

We have been experiencing intermittent tv reception over the last week and is still continuing for Post code TR10 9DB.

Can you please advise as to why this is happening as it says there are no problems with the transmitters. The tv has no faults.
