Fay Cooper : In addition to that said. The Dartmouth Relay (<1mile) is located at an angle of 248 degrees, the transmitter aerial being vertically polarised.

On the other hand, Beacon Hill is located @ 7 miles / 343 degrees, the transmitter aerial in this case being horizontally polarised.

For two days now non-HD BBC channels from the Dartmouth TV transmitter have not been watchable because of picture breakup - presumably because the signal power has been dropped. Other channels are fine, but BBC1 and BBC2 in particular are dreadful. I have two aerials and several TVs and all are affected, as is my next door neighbour's system; we both have direct line of sight from Kingswear across the river to the mast.
This is a transmitter issue, not a receiver problem, yet (apparently) there has not been any engineering work that might have caused it, This needs to be fixed!
