Since the switch over the main channels have terrible signal strength and quality. I've tried moving the aerial In the loft and it makes no difference.
Ch 30/37 have good strength and perfect quality.
Ch 24/27 have poor strength and quality. Unwatchable.
Ch 33 no channels found.

I thought the point was to improve the quality as well as free up space for HD.

Andy2801: Chs 30 & 37 are still on low power from Rowridge - they will increase on 18th April.
Chs 24 & 27 are on high power, which suggests you may have overload (either at a masthead amplifier or a distribution amplifier).
If that's the case, you'll find reception on chs 30 & 37 will become "unwatchable" after mid April.
