i never get any pictcher problems at all it just on mux 21 i can just be sitin here watching say itv3 some time 4 like 4 hours and the it will just sudenly say no signel the bout 2 secs later its back and some times it dont do it all i have had the 3 diffrant aerial men out and they all say my end is fine ch5 used to do it to till it weent over to mux 27

thanks mate i have just had a tv aerial man in and he says my signal quality is very good and theres nuthin wrong with me aerial and it even cut out why he was here so god knows why its doing it and ive tride difrant freeview boxs the one imuseing at the mo is a lg dvd recorder and it says 100sq and 100ss but mux 21 not all the tim but at least 1s a day say no singnal then comes back after like 2secds and i have asked my Neighbours and they get the samething gess it will sort it salf i hope

If neighbours get the same, but TV man says you should have a strong signal, it sounds like some local source of interference. You and they should note when the problem arises.

It could be some factory starting or stopping, a change in the mains power, someone using digital singalling on their power wires, all sorts of things.

IIRC the BBC has some service to check these things.

IIRC Hastings is by the seaside, so could be radar causing problems - also signals may be restricted to stop them getting to france, or you could be under cliffs - but aerial man if local should have known such issues.

got it sorted now seems my tv was at fult coz i now got a lg dvd recorder with freeview bilt in and it works grate but is it true that even tho im resving a good signal now that after switchover it ant guner work where i live tn35 5ef or is it just the stuped post code cheker not being right ?

I cant ever get a siganl with my freeview box can anyone help or suggest what I could do to try and solve this problem please

daniel badman: No, the checker is correct, your service from the Hastings transmitter will degrade from "Good reception" to "Variable reception" over the next couple of years.

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'
