why can't i get itv 1 on freeview? is it a weak signal?

Sir,
I live just outside Aylesbury (at a geographically higher altitude than the town) and I am currently unable to receive any TV stations on UHF Channel 29; this includes Yesterday, ITV4 and Film4 to name but three that I frequently like to watch.
I have retuned all my Freeview devices for good measure (two Freeview TVs and one DVD recorder with integral Freeview tuner) and can confirm that the problem is not specific to any one device .. none of them currently shows anything transmitted on UHF Channel 29.
Will things return to normal after 28th September when the analogue transmissions are turned off?

LDM: Loft aerials are poor for reliable Freeview reception, if you want to have Freeview working well, a rooftop aerial is essential.
