Granted at Eggleston I live on the fringe of programs from Bilsdale but since the power was increased at the change over I have been able to receive all the channels with excellent signal strengths. I can receive all the programs from Com5 which is only 50k output but since The Drama channel started on Com4 which again is 50k output I have little or no signal from any of the channels including ITV3 and ITV2+1 etc. I have carried out a setup retune but still no good. Why if Com4 is the same output has Com 5 cant I receive programs.

Having trouble with all the BBC TV channels and have done off and on since change over. I had a new arial fitted in my loft at change over. I never know whether BBC will work and it is the one I watch the most. This week is particularly poor with the whole screen breaking up. I frequently up- date my channels, but not in my case!
Didgital was suposed to make viewing better.
Please get back to me with an answer which is not going to cost me more money, I already feel I should have a re-bate on this years licence fee. I live in Filey NY which is suposed to be a good receptionea ar

I live at Eggleston DL12 0AQ. I have an aerial at an height of 10 metres on the roof of my bungalow. I am lucky enough to receive most programs at full strength on all channels from Bilsdale without needing an amplifier. My question is why can I receive programs on COM 5 Arqa which transmits at 50,000W but can't get a signal for programs from COM 4 SDN which also transmits at 50,000W. I use a group K aerial horizontally polarised. I have tried full retunes including manual retunes but no good.

I have recently purchased a new LG Smart TV. I live in DL9 4XG. My reception is via a free-view ariel. The signal I get on ch 103 itv hd is Granada Region. All other channels are received ok and show NE Region. Any ideas why this is happening?

Bob: Because the ITV HD broadcast from Tyne Tees transmitters is Granada. This is because there are only a handful of ITV HD regions and so each ITV region doesn't have its own HD counterpart.

Bob: I explained the reasoning behind this only the other day:
On the tenth day of Christmas Auntie brought to me ... five more HD channels | High definition | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice
Basically the only reason that ITV HD is divided into regions - albeit larger than those for standard definition - is for the benefit of the broadcaster. It allows different adverts to be shown to different parts of the country, just as Channel 4 and Channel 5 do.
