Just for info', the DigitalUK website says COM7 from Emley Moor will be 50kW not 16.7kW as stated above and suggests 10/12/2013 is a re-tune date so that may be the date it comes on test.

Having problems with the freeview picture, HD pictures but also sometime the SD picture.

I have signal information on and the Bit Error level shoots to 2000 when the picture breaks up.

Signal strength 92/93

Network Yorkshire ID 302d)

Multiplex TSID 4089n ONID 233a

This has been a problem for atleast 6 months and having received a 4G filter for free I have installed this and the problem to exists so now I really need to solve the problem.

The picture is fine then suddenly breaks up, sound goes fuzzy and picture stutters. All within a 1second blips.

Any help or more information needed please let me know

Thanks
Chris

Chris: Perhaps it is the strength that is verging on the excessive, at times rises and overwhelms the tuner:

@David L: Thanks for the quick reply, I will have a look into that.

Looking at the above Maps for Emily Moor my exact address isnt in any green area at all, its not even coloured. Also looking at the map, 30m away we have a Vodafone mast.

Will look at that link and see what it suggests thanks

Chris: First things first, let's clear up whether 4G could be the cause - phone at800 and they will tell you whether there is a mast active in your area, and when it was switched on - I'm guessing that since it's been ongoing for 6 months it won't be a 4G problem, as Vodaphone's 4G at 800MHz only came on during the summer.

I'm presuming you have a Samsung TV - can you go into menu > channels > manual tuning and then tell us whether the 6 stored frequencies match up with the 6 Emley Moor frequencies at the top of the page?

Could you also bring up the signal information screen for channels 1, 3, 10, 11 and 18, and tell us what their strength/error level is?

Chris: In view of the fact that you aren't in an area coloured green I looked at Streetview photos and I see that most aerials are directed to the Keighley transmitter (or perhaps Idle). I think that even though you're only 13 miles from Emley that you're so far off having line-of-sight that too much signal isn't a likely possibility. Why are you using Emley rather than Keighley or Idle?

COM7 on UHF channel 33 is now on air from Emley Moor. Al Jazeera HD is broadcasting and BBC News HD has a graphic which says it launches at 08:30 tomorrow.
