pirat3uk: I should have added that the solution is to clear the channel list, then do a manual tune on each of the Tacolneston frequencies to restore reception of the correct transmitter.

Hi KMJ
Can see I've got your grey matter workin overtime!
When I say I've got no signal on c59 I mean on a manual tune looking at reception levels all as expected for Tacolneston except c59 "NO SIGNAL" and good signal (relative) on c41, which is unexpected. Strange thing is I got a good signal on c41 on our previous "non wideband" aerial, but as expected c42 no signal and breakup on c45, others all ok so upgraded the aerial to get c42 ITV3 (for the missus). Tuner is a wharfedale twin tuner pvr but same results on tv's (tecnika) on board tuner.
Got me going, for sure!
The only problem is a nagging doubt that my signal is not coming from tacolneston. Some sites refer to a relay in Gorleston on sea but others such as this do not mention it?

pirat3uk: Hi, there are actually three relay stations in the area. The Gorleston-on-Sea transmitter that you mention is only 2W and uses C26/23/29. Great Yarmouth is on C47/41/44 and Lowestoft is on C58-/60-/56 both at 400W. The absence of C59 is most likely caused by either single frequency interference (an RF modulator of a VCR, Sky box or other equipment set on/near to C59) or the aerial is positioned in a null for the C59 signal from Tacolneston. Aerial positioning, especially in a loft tends to be a bit of a compromise between the positions of strongest signal for each mux.

I am having problems again with Freeview HD channels.

Some of the time (about 50/50, I would say) I either completely lose the HD channels (TV says "No signal") or they break up terribly - at this time I have a signal quality of 0 with a signal strength of anything from 60-70% upwards. The rest of the time, the HD channels are fine.

At all times, I am able to receive the SD equivalents of the HD channels without any issue (signal quality 95%ish, signal strength 95%ish)

If anyone could please offer some advice, it would be very helpful.

Many thanks,

Matthew

Not getting any reception since January. We had all the channels during Christmas and New Year, but now the TV finds exactly 0 channels.

Haven't touched the aerial or anything. Just switched the TV on one day to find everything gone.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
